about

High above the valley, South Park by name, a miner climbs to the top of Mt. Yale to see all that he can see in every direction. At 14, 200’, Mount Yale is one foot shorter than Mount Princeton: now, here is a tale of collegiate rivalry and one-upmanship! Mount Yale was first climbed by a Harvard University research team led by Josiah Whitney. The group named the taller Mount Harvard (14,420 ft) after their own university and the slightly less ascendant Mount Yale after Whitney's alma mater. Due to the narrow height difference in both peaks, (Princeton is one foot (0.30 m) higher), it was once upon a collegiate time when each University’s alumni laboriously toiled atop their chosen peak with sufficient rocks to afford their peak’s present, if temporary, supremacy.

Mount Yale has achieved great popularity as “a non-technical 14-er”. The mountain offers fantastic views of the Sawatch Range, which includes the Collegiate Peaks, and Buena Vista, and is a favorite "training" mountain for 14-er wannabes seeking experience before tackling more difficult objectives.

Sounds include: our solar system vibrations and planet sounds (courtesy of NASA); a piano composition called “Brown Eyes”; the background music of a futuristic game; a music box being wound-up and played; and an ambient composition.

Versatyle Villain Nashville, Tennessee

Inspired by experimental music of the 1930s & 1940s, I am a composer who gets your juices flowing: I splice, chop, flip, stretch, slow down, and speed up music in "Soundtracks for Unknown Films and Shorts". Here, you may find a melange of mellow ambience through a space-wild, spine-tingling galactic fantasy. ... more
