about

Need I say more? Talking over talking over talking and a bit of laughter for the throngs of recitation before a performance, including the farcical "Alliteration Poem" from Gilbert and Sullivan's 1885 opera, The Mikado.

Sounds include:
The repeated recitation of “To sit in Solemn Silences”, which is generally used by actors and actresses before rehearsing lines of dialogue or people giving speeches, as a means of speaking clearly and not mumbling their words; a music composition from Freesound; St Dunstan's bellringers practice in Stepney, UK; and confusing chatter at a party.

lyrics

lyrics:
To sit in solemn silence in a dull, dark, dock,
In a pestilential prison, with a life-long lock,
Awaiting the sensation of a short, sharp, shock,
From a cheap and chippy chopper on a big black block!
(from “The Mikado” by Gilbert and Sullivan, 1885)

Here, you may find a melange of mellow ambience through a space-wild, spine-tingling galactic fantasy. ... more
